Student growth is measured in two ways on the Nevada School Performance Framework (NSPF). Schools are measured by the median growth score achieved by students participating in the Math and ELA SBAC assessments. The median growth score is the middle growth score and is determined by identifying individual student growth scores and ordering the scores from lowest to highest. The exact middle score is the median growth score. Students must have participated in the assessments for at least two years to earn a growth score; therefore students in grade 3 do not factor into the median growth measure.
This measure only applies to elementary and middle schools.
