Graduation Rate (2017-2018)

High schools are measured on the 4-year graduation rate and the 5-year graduation rate.

4-Year Graduation Rate:  Percentage of students in a cohort who completed their high school program within four years of starting high school.  Students who do not graduate at the end of their twelfth-grade year, have until October 1 of the same calendar year to graduate and count towards the 4-year graduation rate.

5-Year Graduation Rate:  Percentage of students in a cohort who completed their high school program within five years of starting high school.  This measure enables schools to increase graduation rates to include students who did not complete their high school program within four years of starting high school but returned in year five to complete their program.

Graduation rates lag one year, for the 2017-2018 NSPF the 4-year graduation rate is for the class of 2017 and the 5-year graduation rate is for the class of 2016.

Additional information regarding graduation rates may be found on Nevada Report Card.
