School Improvement

About School Improvement (SI)

The mission of the School Improvement Department is to work collaboratively with schools to foster relationships and impact student achievement through strategic planning.  As advocates for continuous improvement, we have established five goals to achieve our vision of all schools participating in a continuous improvement process to promote student achievement:
Goal 1: Support schools with processes and requirements from the Nevada Department of Education
Goal 2: Listen to and respond to voices in the field to better support schools’ needs
Goal 3: Provide transparency and consistent messaging of federal/state/local requirements with clearly defined expectations
Goal 4: Build bridges by partnering with other departments and divisions for schools to access the expertise and resources needed to support student achievement
Goal 5: Provide School Associate Superintendents and schools direct support for school improvement needs
